I certainly agree with this simple statement. On a day like today I am thankful for the veterans who have served our country. But everyday is a blessing. There is a lady at church, whom at praise time, always says that she is thankful that she woke up today. Each day a blessing. I have made it a plan to do something that matters every single day. I don't have the means to do something really great. I am just doing my little part in my little part of this world. It helps remind me to be thankful each and every day.

Welcome Fall!!
I created this hanging for my front door. There are so many things to be thankful for during this time of the year. I love the colors that happen during fall. The sky has a color in the evening with the warm orange glow of the sun. The trees are just beginning to put on their beautiful display. The grasses and flowers that once, not very long ago, were blooming with colorful flowers, now take on a different hue. Their deep greens, reds, plum, and oranges are almost as beautiful as the blooms.
I used an old frame that once held one of my paintings. I had painted it and then put a layer of crackle medium and a layer of white paint for an old finish. I bought the linen ribbon and the berries. I printed a tag with my stamp letters.
The basket was one of the many baskets in a collection hanging in my living room. I like the way it all came together. A simple autumn blessing.
The painting below is one of the paintings that I am hoping will make it to the flag manufacturers. A simple Autumn Blessing Welcome for the front garden.
I remember the words of Anne Frank, "Think of all the beauty still left around you and be happy." And I welcome the beauty of fall.
